GearLab
Calculate, draw and export involute gears.
Enter a centre distance and a gear ratio, and GearLab finds all combinations of module and number of teeth from the DIN 780 series that fit exactly with profile shift. Or design a single gear, a pinion with rack, or a pinion inside a ring gear.
The teeth are really calculated: involute flank, root fillet and undercut. Export the result as a 2D drawing or a 3D model.
What does it do?
- Standards: ISO 53 / DIN 867 (basic rack), DIN 3960 (profile shift)
- Gear pair, single gear, rack and internal gear (with interference check)
- Spur and helical gears
- Hub and keyway
- Indicative strength calculation to ISO 6336 / DIN 3990 (not a certified calculation)
- Export: DXF, STEP solid and STL; tested with Rhinoceros 2.0 and Flashforge Flash Studio Desktop
- Save and open projects (.tdw)
