Serious Sam UV Unwrapper
Prepare 3D models for Serious Modeler, and paint on them in 3D.
Converts .3ds and .obj files from your 3D program so that Serious Modeler (Serious Sam 1) reads the UV mapping correctly. The program unwraps the model itself, packs the pieces tightly onto the texture and writes everything the Modeler needs.
Any 3D program that can export .3ds or .obj will do, such as Blender, 3ds Max or Rhinoceros. It has mainly been tested with exports from Rhinoceros 2.0.
In the 3D window you paint directly on the model, with brushes, a stencil or a seamless pattern.
What does it do?
- Own unwrapping: exact (hard-edged models) or smooth (LSCM), with mirroring
- Tight packing of the pieces, with rotation in steps of 90 degrees
- Painting in 3D: brushes, fill, stencil and patterns
- Layers and materials
- Export to Serious Sam: .3ds, .scr, .tga and .tex
